Space Up! Code of Conduct

The purpose of the WISANZ Space Up! Code of Conduct is to ensure an environment that is safe, inclusive and welcoming for everyone by outlining values and behavior expected of members and/or participants in Space Up! in person events, online events, and virtual communities.

 

All persons participating in our events or online forums will agree to abide by the WISANZ Space Up! Code of Conduct and acknowledge that any breach of the Code of Conduct, or any part of it, may result in disciplinary action including but not limited to removal from the club.

 

As a Space Up! member and/or participant, you agree to meet the following requirements:

·      Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all participants

·      Be respectful, fair, considerate and honest in all dealings with others

·      Comply with any and all applicable national or local legislation

·      Refrain from any form of abuse towards others

·      Refrain from using any obscene language and/or images

·      Refrain from any form of harassment or discrimination, threatening behaviour or language, bullying, intimidation or belittling towards others

·      Do not distribute, promote or share any illegal, violent, racist or sexist material, content or links, or any material, content or links that could cause offense to any other groups

·      Do not distribute, promote or share any false or conspiracy information, material or links.

·      Be careful about sharing personal contact information.

 

Adult mentors, including WISANZ members and any high school teachers or staff who join Space Up!, have an additional responsibility to ensure the safety of our high school club members.  As an adult mentor, you agree to meet the additional following requirements:

 

·      All Space Up! interactions with high school students will be in a public forum with at least two adults present.  This includes in-person events, and our online platform.  Direct messaging between individual mentors and students is not allowed.
